  • Produces cell disruption/homogenization using glass bead procedures.
  • Achieves complete cell disruption of samples in only minutes.
  • Pulsing action reduces heat generation while providing effective mixing and disruption.
  • Includes a stainless steel holder for twelve 1.5 or 2.0 ml micro centrifuge tubes that has a built-in cup head, which allows mixer to be used as a standard vortex mixer.
  • Continuous or touch mode operation. Speed range is 500 to 3000 rpm.
  • LED display for speed (rpm) and time (minutes/seconds).
  • Displayed time counts up during continuous operation and counts down during timed runs.
  • Dimensions: 4"W x 8"D x 5.5"H
  • Power: 120V. CSA Approved.

Grinding Media for Pulsing Vortex Mixer

Microbiology Applications: Beads have been acid washed to remove contaminants. Suitable for yeast and bacterial spores.
Molecular Biology Applications: Beads have been treated to be DNase/RNase-free. Ideal for preparation of cells for Real Time PCR.
Protein Analysis Applications: Beads are low protein binding making them ideal for homogenizing samples for protein analysis. Useful when high protein recovery is necessary.
