For use in ASTM C136, D421, D271, D492 methods for even, quick splitting of samples of cement, aggregates, gravel, powdered ores, coal, coke, sand, soils and other dry materials. Riffles divide sample material that is poured into the hopper into two equal parts by a series of chutes. These chutes discharge in opposite directions into two pans. Operation can be repeated with reduced sample to "cut down" sample to quarters, eighths, etc. Sample splitter comes with stainless steel hopper and chutes, scoop, sample pans, and cleaning brush.
