This transilluminator provides an intense and consistent ultraviolet source for viewing fluorescently stained gels. Dual intensity: Use full intensity for short exposures and quality analytical documentation work, or 80% intensity for the longer exposures required in preparatory work.
Midrange wavelength: 302 nm wavelength provides the best and most intense fluorescence for ethidium bromide stained gels.
Large viewing surface: 21 x 26 cm, for viewing of large gels in their entirety.
UV protective cover (included): A transparent cover of 100% UV blocking acrylic attaches to the housing and is adjustable to the proper angle for safe viewing of samples.
UV filter guard (included): Extends the life of the UV filter up to 5000 hours.
