Safe, reliable, and easy to use. Model 5417C is designed for use on the lab bench or in the cold room. This unit has an integrated fan to prevent excessive heat generation in the rotor chamber. Refrigerated Model 5417R has CFC-free cooling from -9 to 40°C. “Fast Cool” function brings the rotor bowl temperature down from ambient to 4°C in less than 20 minutes.
Both models offer LED display of speed or RCF and programmable selection of rpm or RCF. Choose from four interchangeable, autoclavable rotors with lids. The automatic rotor detection system senses the rotor type and prevents exceeding its maximum allowable speed. The variable-speed, maintenance-free, brushless induction motor reaches maximum speed within 12 seconds for quick separation and recovery of samples. The soft start/stop function slows the acceleration and deceleration rate to protect delicate samples. Use the adjustable-speed momentary button for quick spins or the timer with a hold function for longer spins.
For safe sample transport, aerosol-tight rotors can be easily removed from the microcentrifuge without detaching the cover. 115 volt, 60 Hz. CSA Approved. Includes a standard 3-wire power cord. Does not come with rotor.
